FLAMIN' GROOVIES - NOW (1978, 2nd UK Edition)
"Now" was the Groovies' best selling UK album, boosted by the lengthy European tour. There are three versions - a U.S. (reissued in 2005 on DBK Records) and French one and two British, the final draft having an improved cover, paying more than a little homage to the Stones "Aftermath". The title itself was inspired by the Stones too as "Rolling Stones Now" was the U.S. title of their second album back in 1964. "Now" is the only Flamin' Groovies album to include a lyric sheet!

First released early 1978 through Phonogram, a new "Now" emerged late '78 through WEA with a different inner bag and the excellent "Aftermath" cover. The tracks, in a different order, were supplimented by "Blue Turns to Grey" and another more worthy addition - the '73 Capitol "When I Heard Your Name" the heartbreak ballad with chiming guitars and a slowed down Bo Diddley beat. There's also a barely audible talkover track lost in the finely restrained riff, all adding to the magic. (B.o.B notes)

This vinyl rip was made in 24 bit and dithered to 16 bit with iZotope RX 2. Full UK artwork included.
