His list gives exposure to some not-so-well-known acts. This sampler is only here to promote their works, , so please support them and buy their albums. I hope this compilation will gives more exposure to the bands featured.

Full list is on David Bash's Facebook

Special note: According to the David Bash's list, i've compiled the fisrt 25 albums, grabbing one song from each album. I made a special PPC artwork for this feature. It will be the only volume i will compile.

In 2013, the Jordan/Wilson/Alexander line-up played live for the first time since 1981 in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth as part of the Hoodoo Gurus' invitational Dig It Up. They also played a series of sold-out shows in Japan. Their show in San Francisco, at The Elbo Room on May 4, sold out in less than 24 hours. They are currently touring, with the addition of Victor Penalosa (Shambles, Melanies) on drums.

On November 16th,  the band was recorded live for this broadcast on WFMU on The Cherry Blossom Clinic with Terre T.

A new six-song EP will be out in early 2014. "End of the World," the first song from the release, is the first Jordan/Wilson penned tracked in over 30 years, and it picks up where they left off.

FLAMIN' GROOVIES - LIVE AT THE OLD WALDORF (1981)

After David Wright had left, a new drummer Brittley Black (from Crime) was recruited and the Groovies also drafted Mark Dunwoody (from Kid Courage) to add keyboards to the live set. The Groovies played on, with only poorly attended gigs in San Francisco. Even the choice of covers was becoming more than a little suspect - with bizarre inclusions like Graham Parker's Soul Shoes! Chris liked Mark Dunwoody personally but "somehow" Shake Some action" with a keyboard in there going...mi.mi..mi! Chris Wilson would left later same year. (B.O.B)

Special note: This catchy 15th Anniversary Concert (soundboard source) was given to me some years ago. I made a special artwork for the blog.

FLAMIN' GROOVIES - KEYSTONE, BERKELEY (1980)
Back from a spring tour in Germany and a performance at the Rockpalast, the Groovies were back in the U.S.A. They started recording a new album at the Goldstar Studios but they ran out of money and they returned to San Francisco. In December they played at The Keystone in Berkeley opening with a stunning version of Derek & The Dominos'"Tell The Truth", but the set was really heavy with covers - no less than seven Beatles' numbers and only one Jordan-Wilson tune, the perennial "Shake Some Action" - therefore increasing Chris Wilson frustration.

Special note: This "Back in the USA" Concert (a fair audience source) was given to me some years ago in lossless format. As it an audience recording, it is shared in lossy format only. I made a special artwork for the blog

Lossy: 320 mp3 (108mb)

PLASTICLAND - PLASTICLAND (1985)
Their debut album, 1984's "Color Appreciation" was released on the French Lolita label, then reissued the following year as "Plasticland" on Bam Caruso, replacing "Color Appreciation" and "The Mushroom Hill" with "Wallflowers" and "Posing For Pictures". The track order was totally changed and P. St. John Nettleton designed a far superior artwork.

FLAMIN' GROOVIES - VAILLANCOURT FOUNTAIN (1979)
“Vallancourt Fountain” is one of the two Flamin' Groovies shows in 1979 that were released on record. This soundboard recording was confusingly called "Jumpin' In The Night", otherwise known as "Valencourt Plaza" where it was recorded. The concert serves to document a typical Groovies gig of the time with staples like "Shake Some Action", "Tell Me Again" and "First Plane Home", covers of "Feel A Whole Lot Better", Moby Grape's "Fall On You", the odd Beatles and even NRBQ's "I Want You Bad". The other concert released was “Live at The Roxy” available here

Salon puts an even less selfconscious twist on things (although the faint British component in Glenn Rehse's accent argues against that) and displays an easy command of swinging London art-school power pop psychedelia. Armed with a mellotron and other relevant instruments, Plasticland shoots delicious flashes of Manfred Mann, frilly-shirt-era Who and Stones, Yardbirds and Magical Mystery Tour into their creations, making Salon an incisive nostalgia exercise that transcends its basis to stand on its own merits. A remarkably good time. Trouser Press

THE JOOK - Singles (1972-1978)
After the breakup of John's Children, John Hewlett went to work for Apple in the publishing division. Then, when Apple started falling apart, he went into management with Gallagher & Lyle and later McGuiness Flint. He soon lost interest working with all these singer songwriters and it wasn't really the sort of music he liked.

So Jook was a conscious attempt to get back to he really wanted. And that's what Jook was about: a 70's John's Children, complete with futuristic Mod clothes. They made five 45's in a year, powerful records with Slade-like production, teen rebellion lyrics and Townshend-styled guitar.

Some of the songs were great, from the debut "Alright With Me" to the tremendous flip side of their last single "Crazy Kids" (later remade by Trevor White, both versions are among the all-time classic teenage anthems). As it was, the records were relative flops and are fetching now hefty prices.
